F/W 2009 collection finally arriving
With a little delay and so much anticipation from fans worldwide, Turbokolor's new Fall/Winter 2009 collection is finally starting to arrive at our headquarters. Our office is hell right now. Boxes piling everywhere, everything needs to be sorted and counted. Check out the pictures for yourselves.
As mentioned before, we were invited by Red Bull to participate in the Playboy Party weekend at the Polish sea side resort - Wladyslawowo. It was a truly weird experience. A five-star hotel with Lambos parked outside, tons of naked hotties, plenty of idiots and hustlers, sea, beach and open bars serving vodka 24/7 during the whole weekend. Guys in white bathrobes were drinking whiskey at the pool at 9.00 AM. You can imagine the outcome of this mix. Oh, did I mentioned that Swanski was painting live in the most visible part of the hotel lobby on the main day? All I can say is that we were representing well... To celebrate this occasion, we came up with a little competition for all of you who are familiar with our logotype. Swanski & Playboy Poland
Our man Swanski got invited to do a live painting act during Playboy party weekend in Wladyslawowo, Poland. Just imagine - tons of hotties, tons of naked bodies and Swanski painting in the middle. Check out our blog next week to see the whole photo story and the final outcome of the painting.
Yesterday, we made a shooting for our new press advertisements to introduce Fall/Winter collection. Pictured is our friend, Kuba Panow, the legend of Warsaw's rock n'roll / rockabilly scene... Thanks Kuba. New season is on the way, stay tuned.
Our weekend Stupid Sale event turned out to be a huge success. The boxes above show only maybe 1/3 of total orders. Packing boxes on Monday was rough but we would like to thank all our fans and customers for supporting Turbokolor. If you missed something, do not worry. New collection Fall/Winter 2009 is coming to the store near you in two weeks.
Wooden Canvas Exhibition by Swanski
During last 10 years Swanski collaborated and designed many skateboard graphics for various international skateboarding companies, such as Cliche, Listen or Hessenmob. This year, the time has come to organize a retrospective exhibition of selected boards and drawings. The exhibition entitled "Wooden Canvas" presents a part of Swanski's portofolio and takes place in a new skateboard/streetwear boutique called Veteran (www.vtrn.pl) which opens early September. Veteran will also carry very limited lines of Turbokolor so make sure to stop by.
Last weekend we had a nice view of four painters working at one place on the Wisła river in Warsaw. Will Barras, Swanski M-city and The London Police made together a almost 100 meter long wall.. here are some shots of it, the whole panorama you can watch on EKOSYSTEM and some shots of painting process on the Maggnes magazine...
Last weekend we were in Frankfurt at the Bright Trade Show presenting our upcoming seasons. Swanski also presented his works from his latest exhibition Kosmodrom 3000, and was painting live at the Streetwear Today art show.. To see more, go further..
